Welcome to HKUPA's spring open league! In order to promote Ultimate, we are running an open mini-league in the month before spring clique league begins. There will be (hopefully) four teams and the mini-league will run for four weeks on Thursday nights, starting 12 January. Starting Date: 12 Jan (Thurs) (Note: NO league on 26 Jan as it’s CNY. In order to recruit/promote women in Ultimate, we are running a women's mini-league in the weeks before spring clique league begins. As we don't quite have the numbers for full teams, the league will be run in a 'jumbled' format. Four groups of women will be picked by draft, e.g. A, B, C, D. In the first week, groups A and B will combine to play groups C and D. The next week, groups A and C will combine to play groups B and D and so on. Pick-ups at league :

Players who did not register to play in league (because they missed registration deadline/are just visiting for a week/too busy to show up more than a couple times/etc.) are welcome to come to Tues/Thurs games to pick up with a team. However, they are not guaranteed to play;

If team captains do not want to take pick-ups that night, that is their prerogative.

If a team has a specific person they want to pick up, they must inform the league director as well as the captain of the opposing team.

If a player does pick up, they must pay a $20 field fee. Pick-ups are not allowed to play with the same team more than once (i.e. after you've played with the red team, you cannot play with them again).

Finally, no pick-ups will be allowed to play in league play-offs.
