2009 Autumn League - Round 5

Greetings HKUPA!
Today's league update is based on Maurice Sendak's book, Where the Wild Things Are.
I've been inspired by the upcoming movie.

Results:
Black 15 - Yellow 4
Blue 10 - White 8
The story:
The night Black and Blue wore their wolves costumes and made ultimate mischief of one kind
and another
Grant and Terry called them "Wild Things!"
and Jake said, "I'll deuce you!"
so Grant and Terry left him alone and decided to drink beer and keep score.
That very night, a frenzy brewed on the field
and brewed-
and brewed until discs were flying out of control
as the players struggled to simply stretch and warm up
and a clock struck 9:15 and the players were urged to begin
and Terry left to join the white team to battle that night
and then the league directors waited for weeks
and almost a year it seemed
to see the wild things begin to play.
And when time was running short, all four teams lined up
they roared and vipered and tea-bagged
and did terrible deeds to intimidate their opponents
till Grant said "PLAY ALREADY!"
and tamed them with a magic trick
of promising beer to the first team that put the flying orb into the sky
and instantly three teams vied for the coveted draught while white twiddled their thumbs, the least wild team of all
And Rob declared Grant king of awesomeness
and Grant declared that the layouts should start!
And they did
The best of all came from Paul Bartels,
who went horizontal in the endzone
And the fun continued
players skied and played defense and frequently scored.
And one player, Bee, thought he scored
and it was too late, after the disc was spiked, when someone alerted him to his "shortcomings."
And all was well
until the whistle blew, and the lights went out
and the scary woman tried sending us to bed two minutes before the designated hour
So Grant, king of all wild things, was upset
and had Wanda help him translate his desire to have more ultimate fun in future weeks.
Then the scores were tallied
and Blue and Black came out on top
while Yellow called for a captain's meeting
and they gathered and declared an especially wild monster would join Yellow each week
to be taken from the bye team.
And they all shouted "Hooray!" and went to club seven
and drank beer for what seemed like a year
and in and out of weeks
and throughout the night
and it became their ritual watering hole, stocked with cheap beer
and it was very chilled.
